12.4 List serves

List serves are a fantastic way to either fill your inbox to overflowing, or provide you with a steady stream of information and collegial connection! Which one applies on a given day may depend more on what else is in your inbox than the list itself.

I belong to a small number of list servs. These are email conversations between a closed group. As a member of a list you receive an email when any other member posts a message to the group. There are many lists that an educational developer could join, selecting the most useful and appropriate for your interests is up to you. I find the SEDA list is a great place to ask questions, to engage in debate and to keep informed about events and publications. It is not necessary to be a member of SEDA to join the list.  The same is true of the STLHE list and many others.
